A creative collaboration for a woodland wedding...

Planning a wedding provides a wonderful opportunity to really let your creative juices flow - in fact it is probably one of the most enjoyable parts of the process.
However, when faced with the gargantuan task of planning a full wedding pretty much on your own, there are various wedmin tasks which, without help, can take over your life.

I had started off with great intentions of making our own invitations which were to encompass my vision and my fiance's talent for pencil sketching. Fast forward three months and there was still only a mock up of the invitation because we were too busy. I was becoming a little disheartened and time was running away. 
Then, one day I was perusing a wedding blog and up pops a competition to win your own bespoke stationary by Candelabra Designs. The brief was to explain in detail what you were looking for and the most inventive would win.
We were quite ahead of the curve having spent some hours designing a draft PDF already. I was beyond over the moon to be selected to work with Candelabra Designs and couldn't wait to get started. It's been a fantastic collaborative process with weeks of pinning, conspiring and inspiring each-other to end up with something I could not be happier with. It's certainly time consuming coming up with your own design but it was worth it for us. Collaborating on a design and build option as we have done here helped make it a reality and took some of the load off us. 

Sas from Candelabra Designs says 'We chose Samm's lovely idea to create an invitation that is multi-functional. Samm had a vision to send an invitation that is ecologically sound, that can be used again and again and that has an afterlife after its primary function of inviting her loved-ones to her wedding. She proposed a bookmark to tie in with her ​obsession ​with​ ​f​ables and fairy tales, and suggested​ ​that​ she ​might​ like to​ add​ a small packet of wild flower seeds to create a little eco​-​friendly bundle. Sas, founder of Candelabra, started sourcing artwork, including her own illustrations that would work with Samm’s fascination with Fairytales, ​and all things natural. Samm mentioned bluebell woods as she and her fiance Jon’s wedding is going to be a very bohemian affair, magically located in a bluebell wood.  Together, Samm and Sas created a Pinterest board and after a frenzy of​pinning, and a few ‘works in progress,’ Sas struck gold with an artwork that Samm really ​fell for​.'
